The S.L.A.A. Women’s “We Are Not Alone” Phone Meeting Group was started by one S.L.A.A. sponsor. One of her long distance sponsees was living in an isolated rural area. There was no access to S.L.A.A. recovery resources other than a working telephone.

On December 29, 2010, four women gathered to meet for the first time on a telephone meeting. In just a few short years this grew to many meetings held 7 days a week.  The meetings now include women from all cities and countries from around the world.

The primary purpose of the group is to help women with sex and love addiction find recovery in S.L.A.A.

About the name “WANA”

The name S.L.A.A. Women’s “We Are Not Alone” Phone Meeting Group can be a long name to say. Some members use the acronym “WANA” for short, as an abbreviation for “We Are Not Alone.” This also represents the theme of care and support shared by our members.
